BVL Construction Services Inc. was established in 1997 as a joint Venture called Bigstone Ventures Ltd between Petrocare Services Lp and the Bigstone Cree Nation to service the need for a oilfield service company in Wabasca, Alberta as well as provide various companies in the local area in general with a wide variety of services for oil and gas plant construction, operations and maintenance. After BVL became firmly established as one of the main oilfield service companies in the area, we began to provide opportunities for many employees and Band Members to apprentice for trade certification or train though the PET program for oilfield operations and maintenance support. BVL was able to do this by growing in size, utilizing Petrocare’s resource base, and its ability to manage and supply people to perform many services as outlined below.
